Slava

Stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught

A friend gave me the idea of posting an article on the meaning of the Slava. I think its appropriate given that we are entering that time of year when Slava's are most frequent. A lot of the ones I attend here in the UK end up being a type of dinner party where the adult's make small talk in the main room's, with the younger generation having a playstation-fest in the bedroom's. I've even been to one where some of the teenager's, including the host's son were smoking drugs at the bottom of the garden. Needless to say I don't think that the family Patron Saint is at the forefront of everyone’s mind. Indeed some of the non-Serb's that arrive to play Pro-Evo soccer don't even seem aware that the host family has a Patron Saint, yet alone which one. The following article was not written by me.

Krsna Slava - the celebration of the home Patron Saint-is the greatest characteristic of the national and religious life of the Serbian people. It is a beautiful and unique expression of the Orthodox faith that is deeply implanted in the Serbian Christian soul.
Krsna Slava is an exclusively Serbian custom. It is the most solemn day of the year for all Serbs of the Orthodox faith and has played a role of vital importance in the history of the Serbian people. Krsna Slava is actually the celebration of the spiritual birthday of the Serbian people. Our forefathers accepted Christianity collectively by families and by tribes. In commemoration of their baptisms, each family or tribe began to celebrate in a special way to honor the saint on whose day they received the sacrament of Holy Baptism. The mother church blessed this practice and proclaimed Krsna Slava a Christian institution.
According to the words of St. Paul (Phil. 1:2), every Christian family is a small church, and, just as churches are dedicated to one saint, who is celebrated as the protector of the church, so Serbian families place themselves under the protection of the saint on whose holiday they became Christians and to whom they refer to as their intercessor to God Almighty. To that protector of their homes, they pay special homage from generation to generation, from father to son, each and every year.
Slava is a day not only of feasting, but also a day of spiritual revival through which the Serbian national soul is formed and crystallized. To these celebrations, customs, and traditions, our nation owes its existence, and, therefore, deserves to be appreciated and perpetuated by all grateful Serbian sons and daughters all over the world. The living example of the Patron Saint gives to the celebrant assurance, persistence, and the feeling of protection, support, and the encouragement to do good. For that reason, we hear among our people the ancient saying: "Ko Slavu slavi, tome i pomaze".
Because Krsna Slava is regarded as the anniversary of the baptism of the family into Christianity, it is an annual reaffirmation of the family to its baptismal vows and the renewal of its ties to the Orthodox faith and church.
The commemoration of Krsna Slava was to our ancestors one of the most important expressions of their Orthodox faith. So they always celebrated their Krsna Slava, regardless of how dangerous the situation. In our long suffering history, the state and freedom ceased to exist, but in our homes, the candle of our Patron Saint never was extinguished.
The Serbian Krsna Slava links, as a golden string, our past and our present, our ancestors and their descendants. Serbian people should never ignore their Krsna Slava because through it the Orthodox faith was preserved and they were held together through the centuries. Krsna Slava should be kept not only as a sacred custom, but also to attest to the sacred truth that "Where the Serb is, Slava is also".
The celebration of Krsna Slava requires the Icon of the family Patron Saint and several items that symbolize Christ and the believer's faith in his death and resurrection: a lighted candle, Slavsko zhito, Slava's bread (Slavski kolach), and red wine.
The lighted candle reminds us that Christ is the Light of world. Without Him we would live in darkness. Christ's light should fill our hearts and minds always, and we should not hide the Light of Christ in our lives.
Slavsko zhito represents the death and resurrection of Christ. Christ reminded us that except a grain of wheat die it cannot rise again, even as it was necessary that He die, be buried, and on the third day rise again so that we all can triumph over death. The Slavsko zhito is prepared as an offering to God for all of the blessings we have received from Him; it also is to honor the Patron Saint and to commemorate our ancestors who lived and died in the Orthodox faith.
Slava's bread represents Jesus Christ as the Bread of Life. It is also symbolic of our thanks to God for being saved through Its Son. During Slava, the priest cuts a cross in the bread, which reminds us of Christ's death on the cross for the remission of our sins.
The red wine, of course, represents Christ's precious blood, which was required to wash our sins away. Note that understanding the symbols of Slava helps us understand the meaning of the celebration. There is one symbol, the Slavsko zhito, that needs some special explanation. Some of the faithful have the misunderstanding that the Slavsko zhito is parastos for the Patron Saint of the Slava. The wheat for Slava and the wheat for parastos (Koljivo) are two different things. In both cases, the wheat symbolizes resurrection and eternal life (St. John 12:24). However, Slavsko zhito is prepared for the glory and honor of the Saint and for the repose of the souls of those departed members of the family who commemorated that Saint. We do not pray for the soul of the Patron Saint, but we pray that he or she intercede to the Lord our God for the forgiveness of our sins. Therefore, you should never place a candle in the Slavsko zhito.
There is no reason to refrain from celebrating Slava during a mourning period in the family because at Krsna Slava we experience the unity with our departed ones. The gaiety should be omitted, but the zhito, bread, and candle never. On that day they are signs of living union between the living and the deceased of the family. To not celebrate Krsna Slava, for whatever reason-mourning, travel, poverty, instability, sickness, and so on-creates a spiritual vacuum, which deprives us of spiritual gladness and our departed ones of a connection with us through the prayers on that day.
For the faithful, Krsna Slava creates confidence, strength, freshness, stability, spiritual and physical peace, and the ability and incentive to do good and to lend help to others. If we want to be the meritorious heirs of our ancestors, keeping our origin, history, and symbols of Krsna Slava, we can't permit the flame of our Krsna Slava candle ever to be extinguished.
The importance of Krsna Slava is not to have a huge, elaborate, and expensive party. All you need is the Icon of your saint, a candle, wheat, bread (kolach), and wine, the service of the priest, and an awareness that Krsna Slava is a great treasure passed on to you by your ancestors.
Do not fail to keep this ancient and honorable Serbian Orthodox tradition and to pass it on to your children. As St. Paul says in his epistle to the Thessalonians (2:15), "Stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught".

Belgrade book fair sparks race protest

I had a feeling as soon as I read the headline that the book's in question were those written by Ratibor Djurdjevic, who I link to. I love how the local Federation of Jewish Communities says:

"It's a bittersweet irony that, exactly at the time of this fair, its the 20th anniversary of the death of Italian writer Primo Levi, a Jew and victim of the Holocaust"

No its not ironic at all, given that there were millions of survivor's, hundred's of which have some degree of fame. Had the book fair been on any other day of the year they could have said exactly the same thing. Just like whenever there's a march, it's always ironic that it was some Nazi's birthday, or it was some historically significant day. As a Christian I might open up my church calendar every time I see something I don't like going on and say, isn't it ironic that it's on the day of Saint so-and-so.

"We demand the removal of all anti-Semitic books from stands at the fair and that mistakes like this don't happen again in the future,"

I really don't know what more to say that hasn't been said before. Who are they to demand that Serbs cannot read this material in their own country? Why are they persecuting an elderly man whose only crime is to write books offering an opinion on how and why Serb's have suffered so much in the last century? It's just another example that there are certain topics that are taboo and that all the talk about human rights and freedom of expression is just that...talk.

Diversity in Sweden

I first read this story during the Summer, and came across it again just now. It's these type of rural and homogenous village communities that should be the foundation of any nation. They're also pretty much the only way to bring up your children away from globalist indoctrination in
'enriched' and 'diverse' urban centre’s. I like the way they turned what used to be the village bar into a gym, and make children work on the land from a young age. I can imagine the kid's grow up tough and with a good work ethic. No moping around playing computer games all day. Neither are the village elder's indoctrinated by fairy tales about the glories of diversity. The moment some muslim's started creating trouble they expelled them.

The village leader mention's that communism 'was an alien belief forced on Russia by foreigners'. The BBC journalist offer's a lame interpretation limited to: 'He was referring to Karl Marx'. The belief may well have originated with him, but he certainly wasn't around at the time that it was 'forced' on Russia. So who were these 'foreigner's' that did the forcing? I'm not too sure about his statement that Putin could be the next Tsar, but it just goes to show you don't need to be a geopolitical expert or intellectual genius to establish and run such idyllic and healthy societies.

Patriarch Alexis on Europe

The two citations were made during the Russian Patriarch's recent visit to France. The first was during an address to the Council of Europe, and the second is taken from an interview he gave for Le Monde.

'Today a split that is fatal for European civilization is taking place between human rights and morality. This can be seen in a new generation of human rights which contradict morality and justify immoral acts. If we do not take morality into account, then ultimately we do not take freedom into account. Morality is freedom in action…the destruction of moral standards and propaganda in favour of moral relativism can undermine the world view of European man and lead the peoples of the Continent to a point, beyond which European peoples will lose their spiritual and cultural identity, in other words, their place in history. I am convinced that if Europe is to keep its cultural identity, especially in its dealings with other cultures and civilizations, it is extremely important to keep this moral dimension, which spiritualizes and ennnobles the life of Europeans. At the very least, with the help of State institutions, we must avoid creating propaganda and encouraging anything that weakens or destroys the moral foundations of society.'

‘If the countries of Western Europe do not keep faith with their spiritual and moral values, they have no future. Today, European society is distinguished by an aggressive secular ideology, the cult of consumption and the worship of the reason. If freedom does not go hand in hand with a sense of responsibility and humility, then mankind and society enter on a path of self-destruction’.

St. Nikolai’s speech at the funeral of Dimitrije V. Ljotic

This was the speech that inspired me to learn more about Dimitrije Ljotic. He died toward's the end of WW2 on April 22, 1945. He was on his way to meet Patriarch Gavrilo and the then Bishop Nikolai (pictured right). Dimitrije Ljotic's car fell through a hole in a bridge that had been bombed by the Allies. I don't think this speech can be found in English anywhere on the net, so I thought I'd translate it. The Serbian original can be found on a number of sites. This is the source I used.

'Had just one branch been severed, the trunk would not have felt much, but the trunk has been severed to its roots, and a great pain has been inflicted upon us. Oh Lord! It is your will and we must accept it.

When one stone is thrown into water, it creates concentric circles that spread. In the same way the death of Dimitrije Ljotic generates a grief which spreads throughout his family, to his mother Ljubica, far away in Smederevo, to his wife Ivka, to his brother Jakov, to his sons and to his daughter. The second circle affects the volunteers (of the Serbian Volunteer Corps), his likeminded companions in peace and in war, through good and evil, in joy and in sorrow. The third circle affects the lofty Chetniks, and him who has for four years had only the earth as his carpet and the heavens as his roof (1). And then comes the fourth circle, which envelopes the entire world, because Ljotic was not just ours, he belonged to humanity, to Europe, to the whole world.

Dimitrije Ljotic was a statesman, a teacher, and a Christian. He wasn’t just an ordinary statesman, he was a Christian statesman. In the last 150 years we have had great politicians, great men like Garasanin, Jovan Ristic and Nikola Pasic, but those were men who were great in their own time, within the borders of Serbia, while Dimitrije Ljotic ventured into the great circles of world politics, and into global problems. He was a politician with a cross. I had the chance to hear him speak at the monastery of Zica when he said: ‘The Serbian nation will never be happy until the whole world is happy’.

He was a teacher who taught first of all by action, and only afterwards by words, he steered people in the right direction, he himself was the example. He never spoke about something if he had not first shown by example. He never spoke if he had not already accomplished through his own works. Oh, if only our teachers had been like that! Christ said: ‘One has to act then teach, not just to teach’(2). People will talk about him as a true man, a statesman, and a deep Christian, and this was his greatest attribute. He starts from himself, and that is what benefits the world. If you start from the periphery, from another, and not from your self you are of no use to anybody. That was his motto; Dimitrije Ljotic was a man of deep faith. As minister of Justice he held the censer for the priest in church. Many ridiculed him, but he was not embarrassed. He said: ‘I go to seek out the will of the Lord, and when I find it I will pursue it without looking to the left or right’. Without Dimitrije Ljotic a great emptiness is felt, and it is an emptiness that cannot be easily overcome.

A tree has been cut down, but God knows what he does and we must submit to his will. The tree is cut down, but from it many saplings have sprouted, and those are the many other Ljotic’s. If Dimitrije Ljotic has fallen, tens of thousands of Serbian heroes who have come together under arms, not as individuals, but united, are the replacements of Dimitrije Ljotic. Dimitrije Ljotic is a man who inspired people. He carried a heavy cross in war and in peace, for even in peace people did not want to give him peace. And in war he fulfilled his duty as a soldier and as a citizen. It was those very people who were superficial and who governed the people that did not understand him. For that reason we have collapsed, because we didn’t know how to cherish such worth.
God has taken him in his own time. Some will say: they have taken us from him. But they haven’t taken him, for he gave an example through his life and struggle until today. How much humility, what ascetism, as befits a hermit of the Holy Mountain (3), what prayers, the sweetness of a child!

We are grateful to him, his Holiness and I, we thank him for our transferral from captivity to Vienna, and from Vienna to here (4). We can never forget that deed of the most faithful son of Serbdom.

When I spoke to him in Vienna about the unifying of our national forces, speaking of the man for whom I said that for 4 years the earth had been his only carpet and the heavens his only cover, he humbly replied: ‘Let him command, I will listen. Let him be at the head, I at the bottom. I will wash his feet’. And unity came. (5)

Whoever knew that man, had to love him. He was an ideologue on a global scale, who possessed a deep soul, with a lions courage and a lamb’s meekness. He spoke: ‘If we make all nations happy, we also will be happy’. Cedo Milic the great hero of Mostar, said: ‘ I have seen other heroes, but heroes like Ljotic never and nowhere’. Books will be written about him for that reason. Not only will Serbs write them, but all Europeans who knew him.

There were people who said that he liked to gather riches from somewhere, to hoard them. But where are his houses? Where are his fields? I see none of that. But he was very rich in spirit, in integrity, in faith. A spiritual man, of character, honest, decisive and religious. He was so rich in spirit that he was able to give from his surplus to others, to lend to others, always ready to give advice and a kind word. For him politics was not acrobatics, but ethics. He was the representative of the Serbian soul and heart, Serbian beauty and truth. He was the ideologue of Christian nationalism.

He loved his commanders. He spoke to me about that, and also they spoke to me and only praised him. One great commander, who is here among us, told me on one occasion not long ago: ‘they cannot separate themselves from him (his soldier’s). Words flow from his mouth like honey. He is the true representative of the Serbian political ideal’. He gave so much of himself that had he lived another 50 years, he wouldn’t have had any more left to give. His ideology encapsulated all the branches of national life.

Everyone grieves for him. Even the Germans grieve for him. Many smeared him saying that he was too close to the Germans. And it was those very people who were not in solidarity with the people, who owned villas and had great wealth, and who like exploiters prepared for themselves a fortune for the next hundred years. But he criticized the Germans more than anyone, and for that very reason they respected him. Only those who did not know him criticized him.

Oh how much did he love his soldiers. One officer from his guard told me: ‘When we retreated from Belgrade, on the road we stopped and dealt out bread to the hungry soldiers. When we had dealt out the food, I approached Ljotic and told him that there was only enough bread left for him and me. At that he replied: ‘Give out that also. We will cope better. We are in any case about to retire to sleep, and it is easier to sleep when one has an empty stomach’ And that I did’. He respected man above everything, everything except for God.

He was a great man. That which he sowed grew deep roots. And everything he did will give off a beautiful scent. Volunteers, sing praises to Dimitrije Ljotic! Chetniks weave wreaths in honour of him! Serbs, remember Dimitrije Ljotic!

The greatest sacrifice has been made. God, ask for no more. God, enough, we beg You: You have taken much and as the greatest sacrifice, him! God, let it be enough.

I believe that this great sacrifice is the gate that will lead us to freedom. Dimitrije Ljotic is the gate to our new Fatherland. For that reason brothers, let us pray for the soul of this great man and let the Lord accept him into His Kingdom. Let God grant us our prayers, and to Dimitrije let Him grant that which he deserves. May the Lord have mercy on the soul of Dimitrije Ljotic! Unto the ages of ages, Amen.

Dimitrije Ljotic is not dead. He now belongs to the whole of Serbdom. He now belongs to Heavenly Serbia (6). And the dead are more powerful than the living. He is now stronger, than when he was alive. He is now more powerful than when he was living and restricted in this world. He now achieves more and possesses greater power. Only now is he active. Thank you to him’

Dimitrije Ljotic

At the beginning of the Summer, after my exams, I was looking around for some good books. In particular I wanted to read more on recent Serbian history, politics, sociology, and the organisation of the state,from an Orthodox Christian point of view. Of course the number one source to turn to is St. Nikolai and his multitude of works. He, more than any other Church leader during the last century explained and analysed a multitude of problem's facing contemporary mankind. Especially national, social, political and other problem's which not many Bishop's or Priest's speak about in great detail or with such clarity as he did. However given that my father already has the complete works of St. Nikolai, I wanted to use my time in Serbia to acquire some additional work's by other's.
I didn't really know where to start looking, but luckily while in Belgrade a relative handed me a pamphlet which contained a war time speech by Dimitrije Ljotic. It was about WW2 and entitled The reason for war, and it's master. From the way the man wrote you could tell that he was principled, honest, highly knowledgeable, and a believer. I especially liked his logical style, which I found similar to St. Nikolai's. It wasn't the first time I'd heard of him, but I didn't know too much, and I certainly hadn't read anything of his before. What I did know was that he founded the Serbian Volunteer Corps (SDK) during WW2. This I knew only because I had ancestor's on both my mother's and father's side that had fought for the SDK. This personal connection compounded my interest. I researched him on the internet and to my surprise found that St. Nikolai had given a speech at his funeral and that they had been close. As soon as I'd read the speech I headed down to a certain bookshop I knew would have more of Dimitrije Ljotic's material.
I spent much of the Summer reading about Ljotic's life and his works, and it was time well spent. Infact I still haven't finished reading his works, and won't do till I run out of material. Not many people speak about him these days. The vast majority don't know who he was or what he stood for. The minority that do speak usually do so in a derogatory way, using smear's, hoping to sweep him back under the carpet. This man doesn't deserve to be swept underneath anyone's carpet, yet alone the carpet of those lukewarm Serb's or outright traitor's that have the cheek to call him a traitor! I consider it a travesty that God gave us such a man as an example and that so many have not even heard of him. For this reason I intend to post about him in the coming week's or month's. There is too little material out there about him, even in Serbian, but especially in English. Certainly reading him has been a pleasure for me, not a chore. I hope others have a similar experience.

Our most loyal allies

Found this story over at the Serb-Hellenic Forum. Basically it's about a Greek unit stationed at a Serb monastery in Kosovo.
The nun that is interviewed either had her word's taken slightly out of context or was being overly diplomatic when she said:

“After the arrival of Nato (in Kosovo), 168 churches were destroyed,” said Mother Makaria. “If it wasn’t for Nato, they would have all been destroyed.”

If it wasn't for Nato, there wouldn't be a need for anyone to protect any monasteries in the first place, since they would be protected by the Serbian army.
Though she's spot on when she say's:

“God will decide what happens with Kosovo, and everyone will have to accept His will.”

Personally I don't think we deserve it right now. Not that the Albanian's do, but we should really know better. A people losing it's soul doesn't deserve it's spiritual heartland. It's much better that we suffer to the point of repentance and then get Kosovo, rather than be granted it in this fallen state, and then pretend that everything's ok because we've got a piece of land even though people's soul's are rotting.

Also while browsing through the Serb Liberation blog I found this interview with a Greek volunteer who fought in the Bosnian Serb Army during the Bosnian war. Asked why he'd recently published a book about his experience's he said:

So this history doesn't remain forgotten, too; so it's not lost. So that it appears that at one time, some Greeks went over there. So that a deposit is left to future generations, on how when people are bold and want something, they can achieve it. As long as they love their country.

His action's testify to the fact that the bond between our people's is not some formal political alliance of convenience between 2 states. He went and fought as a volunteer of his own free will, as a representative of the Greek people to the Serbian people. Even when our government's are incapable of doing what is right in the interest's of our own people's, we still can and must act. _____________________________________________

His Grace Bishop of Ras and Prizren delivered a lecture titled “NATO at Work – The Case of Kosovo and Metohija” before the international conference titled “Ukraine’s Development towards NATO or Bloc-Free: Prospects and Risks”. The conference was held on September 19-20 in Somferopol, Crimea, with participation of experts from Great Britain, USA, Greece, Russia, Belarus, Serbia and other countries. The main task was to discuss the outlook for Ukraine’s partnership with NATO.

Esteemed Chairperson,
Respected organizers of this honored gathering,
Ladies and Gentleman,
I consider it a great honor to have been given this opportunity to stand before this esteemed gathering and present the first hand witness about the (wrong)doings of NATO over one old Christian nation, its faith and culture, its present and future.
You are aware that we have come form Serbia, from Kosovo and Metohija, the Serbian Jerusalem, the cradle of Serbian spirituality, Serbian culture and Serbian statehood. There - where our roots lie, where the spiritual identity of the people was created, where numerous sacred sites are located (1300 churches and monasteries), built and erected over the course of almost a millennium – today, mostly as a result of the operations undertaken by NATO, we find ourselves in grave danger of the last traces of our existence being obliterated.
How did this come to be? Is this possible at the beginning of the 21st century?
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it is possible. It is possible thanks precisely to the operations of NATO under the conductor’s baton of Washington and Brussels. NATO, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, the clasp that binds Europe and North America, was established in 1949 with a mission to guarantee the freedom and security of all its member states by political and military means. A noble purpose, indeed: worthy of all praise. Unfortunately, that purpose has been abandoned, namely, since the end of the Cold War in the 90s (the fall of the Berlin Wall and the dissolution of the Soviet Union), NATO, in order to justify its existence, is in search of a new purpose and establishing different priorities. Instead of one that looks after the freedom and security of its member states, NATO has become the aggressor that threatens the freedom of others, violates the security of a nation that presents no peril to it. You may already be guessing that I am talking about the war that NATO waged against SRJ (that is Serbia and Montenegro) in 1999. It was an unusual war, the first of its kind in the history of warfare. It was the aerial war in which the “warring factions” never stood face to face against each other. For the full 78 days NATO was illegally, unjustifiably, heartlessly and violently destroying my homeland by dropping bombs and missiles of all makes, reeking more destruction to civilian (hospitals with maternity wards, residential districts, power lines, bridges, factories) than military targets, purposely aiming at trains and buses packed with passengers and killing over two and a half thousand civilians.
All this terribly hurts my people. But what hurts incomparably more than this is the cynical explanation, the “justification” of their bestial rage, that it was not intended against the Serbian people but the government in Belgrade of that time, while the innocent civilian victims were categorized under the two monstrous words - “collateral damage” – the term so hideous that even the international media proclaimed it “the ugliest term” of 1999.
It was with the extreme delectation that NATO assassins took to darkening the sky over Kosovo and Metohija, providing aerial support to the terrorist organization known as the KLA (Kosovo Liberation Army), throwing on the sacred land of Kosovo and Metohija all available munitions such as cassette bombs (forbidden to use) and rockets “enriched” with depleted uranium whose detrimental effects are felt even today in Kosovo and Metohija regardless of nationality, including the members of NATO and the soldiers of KFOR themselves.
They lied that the bombing campaign, inaptly named “the Angel of Mercy”, was organized to prevent the humanitarian catastrophe that did not even exist at the time, but only instigated one through their aggression against our county (and masterfully directed with the Albanian leaders of the KLA).
But that, ladies and gentleman, is not all. The crimes of NATO against our people reached their full expression only after the “war” had ended, that is when the armed forces of KFOR stepped onto the soil of Kosovo and Metohija based on the resolution of the UN Security Council and the Kumanovo Treaty (military-technical) from June 10, 1999. The mandate of KFOR, according to the agreement, was to prevent the animosity between the warring factions, to establish a secure environment as well as to demilitarize the KLA. According to the resolution 1244 SC, KFOR came to Kosovo and Metohija to establish a peaceful and secure life for all citizens of Kosovo, and to facilitate the unconditional and safe return of the refugees and displaced persons.
Not even one of these listed tasks has since been accomplished. It was exactly after the very arrival of KFOR and the civil authorities of the UN and UNMIK, that, not only did the humanitarian catastrophe ensue, but it culminated in the unprecedented ethnic cleansing of the province. The unique genocide over the Serbian population in peacetime, unheard of in the history of mankind, is unfolding under the auspices of KFOR and UNMIK whose members render their services and offer the support to the Albanian extremists and the terrorist organization KLA, enabling them to persecute and execute two thirds of the Christian Serbian people (250,000), as well as other non-Albanian communities of the Roma, Egyptians, Ashkali and Goranci.
Article II of the Genocide Convention of the UN says: In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious group, as such:
(a) Killing members of the group;
(b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;(c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;
(d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;(e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group. All these points mentioned in the UN Convention that define genocide have been carried out over the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija during the last eight years in the presence and under the “protection” of NATO troops.
I have to remind you that the history of Kosovo and Metohija is sad and bloody. It has lasted over 600 years. It began with the famous battle of Kosovo in 1389 and has not finished yet. Over the course of that history there have been but a few sunny and peaceful days, some 20 years perhaps. All other years and centuries went by in the darkness of Turkish bondage, on the cross of suffering. Historians speak volumes about that, and numerous books have been written by both domestic and foreign writers. There is the plethora of witnesses that attest to the fact that each succeeding period was harder, more arduous and bloodier than the preceding. The book called “The Lamentation of the Old Serbia” by Nikola Popovic describes the last one hundred years spent under Turkish rule. Although they were still under Ottoman bondage, the main perpetrators of the crimes of violence against Serbs, against the fragile and feeble among the Serbs, against our sacred sites were the Kosovo Albanians who converted to Islam. In reading the book and at the same time looking closely at the recent events since June 1999, one cannot but help feeling that our history repeats itself. There may be some slight differences in the intensity but it is nevertheless being repeated, now more than ever.
Since June 1999, Kosovo and Metohija are once again hung on the cross. Even before that, since 1941, they suffered great hardships: they were going through the fire and water of suffering: violence; robberies; murders; rapes and persecution. Notwithstanding the above injustices, during the last eight years, under the “protection” of NATO and the administration of UNMIK, all the cruelty experienced and recorded in the history books has been surpassed. Kosovo and Metohija on the cross! Can we picture before our eyes anything more distressful than this? One cannot speak while standing at the cross. There, one can only remain numb or weep bitterly. And especially the One on the cross cannot speak. He bears and suffers. And He prays for those who tortured Him: “Forgive them, Father, for they do not know what they do”. Those are the words of the crucified Lord. We, hung on the cross with Kosovo and Metohija, do not dare to repeat those sacred words. For those who torture us know very well what they do and why they do it.
And what they – today’s terrorists and criminals, the Kosovo Albanians – do in Kosovo and Metohija is well known to the entire world. They have been committing their hideous deeds before the eyes of the entire world for eight years now, in the presence of the entire international community, represented by the members of UNMIK and KFOR in Kosovo and Metohija.
Their presence not only in the role of a witness but as a direct governing body and the authority that, instead of preventing and fighting, not only allows but tolerates criminal activity. Even though the interim administration of the UN is still present and valid in Kosovo and Metohija, even though NATO troops (16,500 soldiers) are still stationed in their bases, there are still hundreds and thousands of terrorists and criminals wandering freely and unchecked through Kosovo and Metohija, carrying out their monstrous crime – the complete eradication of Serbian Christians from Kosovo and Metohija. Many of those criminals are official members of the Kosovo institutions that legitimately cooperate with the international community.
The newest book of Iseult Henry, the pen name of a current member of the international mission in Kosovo and Metohija, “Hiding Genocide in Kosovo - A Crime Against God and Humanity” speaks of all this, concretely and in detail. This is not a typical book of current events or an international affairs genre, nor is it a journalistic exposé.
This is simply a book of stories, true stories of what has taken place in Kosovo since the end of the 1999 war: shooting; beheading; burning; bomb attacks; maiming; rape; abduction; torture; theft; mutilation; and desecration of holy sites – churches and monasteries (over 150). And this abuse of justice was made possible and tolerated by NATO. The cold distance of the KFOR forces, the signal unmistakably and intentionally given to the KLA thugs, was, as a matter of fact, the signal given for the silent and methodical program of the elimination. That program culminated in the pogrom of March 2004, when all of Kosovo was set ablaze while NATO calmly watched.
And how that passivity of KFOR in carrying out its mission looked like, is best described by the following example. A teacher Miomir Savic from the village of Cernica, close to Gnjlane, was sitting in front of a small Serbian café with some of his friends. The Albanian terrorists threw a bomb at the café and ran away. The deadly device exploded leaving Miomir seriously wounded. He lost a lot of blood from the wounds to his legs. People ran to help him but, as soon as they approached the members of the American KFOR forbade them to come near. He lay there for over two hours, bleeding to death. The Albanian medical workers, a surgeon with three nurses, came from the emergency ward from Gnjilane. Even they pleaded with KFOR to allow them to help, but they were not even allowed to come close to him. Miomir was lying in front of the café bleeding to death while KFOR did nothing nor allowed anyone else to help. After lying on the ground for about two and a half hours with severe leg injuries, a helicopter with the medical staff arrived from the Bondsteel Camp. But it was too late for Miomir. Surrounded by American soldiers, he died. For two and a half hours those soldiers watched him bleed to death. They were only following orders!
Not only were the living Christian Serbs and other non-Albanian people targets of the terrorists, but also property; houses and holy sites; including even the Christian cemeteries. Many Serbian cemeteries across Kosovo and Metohija have been vandalized, the crosses broken, the monuments smashed, the bones dug up and scattered all over, while some of the cemeteries were completely destroyed. The members of the KLA wage war not only against the living but also against the dead, right under the auspices of NATO that turns a blind eye: for no one has ever been brought before the courts for any of these crimes. Even the dead have to disappear. Not even the dead can rest in peace in Kosovo. It is possible to win a war against the living, but no one has yet won a war against the dead. They are invincible.
NATO came to Kosovo to bring peace but created a hell for all except the Kosovo Albanians. They won all, and the Serbs and other communities gained suffering, persecution, and destruction. What kind of peace is that if one cannot: speak in one’s own language on the street, outside one’s yard; if one cannot confess and practice one’s faith because one’s place of worship is either behind barb wire or destroyed; if children cannot go to school; if one cannot till one’s own land; if one cannot return to one’s hometown? What kind of freedom is that if within a couple of years someone obliterates all traces of your culture, and then attempts to convince you that it is your own fault?
And then the final question: to what end is all this? A dilemma remains that awaits resolution:
Has NATO for the first time entered the war so that the swindlers and charlatans could steal the house from their rightful owner?
Has NATO entered the war to ensure that the Christians in Kosovo cannot bury their dead in Christian cemeteries and that they cannot visit the graves of their relatives?
Has NATO entered the war to make sure that the few Serbs still left in Kosovo and Metohija cannot peacefully and safely sleep at night?
Has NATO entered the war to make sure that property belongs to those who want it, not to those who legally own it?
The list of similar questions to pose is inexhaustible and each can end with the basic question: why all this?
But this is not an end. Today, NATO (USA and EU) is concentrating all its power to crown the efforts of the Albanian terrorists for their crimes committed in Kosovo and Metohija against the Serbs, and reward them with an independent Kosovo against all international conventions, resolutions and the generally accepted international law of territorial integrity and sovereignty of all member states of the UN, of which Serbia is among the first. Such an imposed solution that implies the separation of Kosovo and Metohija from Serbia, the Serbian state and people as a whole, no matter where they live, will never be accepted.
We are being insolently blackmailed into accepting an Independent Kosovo (the package of Matti Ahtisaari) in return for instant membership into NATO. Serbia is not prepared to do that. The victims of the NATO bombing campaign from 1999, as well as the victims who fell at the hands of the KLA criminals while under NATO “protection”, ask that we do not forget or betray them. They are now our conscience and it is our moral obligation to preserve their eternal peace and allow their souls to rest, with the message that they laid down their lives before the altar of the Fatherland so that we may never live in the same company with their murderers. Many Serbs publicly ask: Why run into the arms of those before whose eyes and under whose “protection” around 2500 Serbian martyrs have been killed, and no one has ever been charged for it? Serbian people feel that it is better to disappear from the face of the earth than to agree to that, for a man (and nation) without honor, pride and national dignity is reduced to nothing, deserving of being spat upon. Joining NATO would represent the greatest descent, misfortune and humiliation for the Serbian people in their entire history. We are convinced that Serbia will never allow that to happen.

Упркос свим претњама, клеветама и забранама, блокадама и претресима на путевима, преко 300 Образоваца сабрало се на дан Светог Краља Владислава испред Саборне цркве у Новом Саду. Жељно смо очекивали долазак Ненада Чанка, који се данима хвалио како ће нас разјурити и згазити. Узалуд. Најгрлатији антисрбин није се усудио ни да привири ка онима за које je у Скупштини изјавио да су "накот који треба побити". Па где је то он био? Наравно, заклоњен иза троструког кордона. Док смо пролазили градом, Чанак и његове "јуначине" су више пута имали прилику да моткама разјуре "накот који треба побити". Међутим, када се из триста грла заорило "Спрем'те се, спремте", побегли су на супротну страну и "херојски", иза полицијских кордона, гађали флашама и каменицама људе који су седели у кафани, а потом са насладом посматрали брутално полицијско хапшење. Ћераћемо се још!

The Infamous March

The Serbian political establishment together with the media have really outdone themselves this time. Even Serbian patriot's have been taken in, to the point that they are condemning the march for Serbian unity and saying nothing of the assorted enemies of the Serbian nation that were treated like VIP's when they turned up to promote their seperatist, globalist and homosexual agenda.
The banding around of the word's 'neo-nazi's' and 'fascist's' as a means to win an argument is an old but effective one. People who think that those word's win an argument don't have an argument.
Obraz has been officially declared a clero-fascistic organisation. The implication being that they advocate some kind of totalitarian theocracy. For one, I'd rather live in a totalitarian theocracy than a puppet pseudo-democratic liberal rump state run by re-packaged communist's subservient to the ideal's of globalism. Secondly Obraz does not advocate fascism and those that claim otherwise but never bother defining the word deserve to be ignored. The Novi Sad branch of Anti-fascist Action, one's of the group's that organised the counter-march on Sunday show what intellectual level they are on by perverting Obraz's symbol, Christ's monogram, with the word 'Penis'.
Another organiser was the seperatist politician Nenad Canak whose rant on Fox TV last week can be seen here. He prides himself on his father who fought for the communist's and states that there are no Serbs left in Krajina due to the Nazi policies of Serbs there!
Anyway back to Sunday. Police threw up multiple cordons. All road's leading into Novi Sad were heavily policed, as were railway station's around Vojvodina. Of course that was all for the Nazis, the NGO's bussed people across Serbia to the 'anti-fascist rally' without interference.
Slovenian's planning to attend the March for Unity were stopped from entering Serbia. Serb TV viewer's were informed that Nazi banner's were found and confiscated. In fact the organiser of the march say's that police confiscated Serbian flag's and banner's proclaiming 'Serbian and Slovenian friendship'. You might accuse him of lying, but it makes no sense. Firstly all those that made it to the march had exclusively Serbian flag's. Secondly if he was prepared for people carrying swastikas to arrive at the march, why would he not be prepared to admit that people that had been apprehended enroute had been found with swastikas.
That bring's us to the question of what emblem's were on display on Sunday. Amongst the rank's of the so-called anti-fascist's: gay flag's, Vojvodina flag's, and EU flag's were on display! And not one Serbian flag. Not one. What were the so-called fascist's carrying...nothing but Serbian flags! So on the one hand all thing's anti-Serb, and on the other nothing but that which is Serb. Does that not tell you everything you need to know?
Next we have the absurd accusation that the few member's of Nacionalni Stroj that actually got through the road block's into Novi Sad physically attacked thousand's of peaceful 'anti-fascist's'. I knew this was complete rubbish the moment I heard it. I can believe that they would retaliate if attacked, but to attack first when you have been demonised for week's and pleaded that you are not violent and deserve to hold a march. And to do so when vastly outnumbered. Only a complete imbecile would do that. Why bother trying to put across your point to the media in the week's prior to the event and then start throwing bottles the moment you get there? Again look at the picture's that can be found across the net. We see so-called anti-fascist's masked and carrying banner's with incitements to violence. And we see the so-called fascist's unmasked and with no provocative banner's. We see 'fascist's' giving the traditional three-fingered Serbian greeting and we see the 'anti-fascist's' responding to Serbdom with a middle finger. This event was known about for week's in advance. It was crawling with media, but I have seen not one picture of the so-called fascist's throwing anything. Yet we have multitude's of pictures of them doing nothing but waving a Serbian flag and being arrested. What happened to the bit in the middle, did all the camera-men go for a coffee break? On B92, that bastion of extreme-liberalism, they tell us that the majority of those arrested were seig-heiling. Yet the one picture they have of anyone supposedly sieg-heiling is in fact a youth giving the aforementioned three-fingered Serbian greeting.
What happened is the following. When the march was cancelled Goran Davidovic announced that a protest demonstration would be held at the place where the march was supposed to begin. Knowing this, the police predictably cordoned off this area. The 60 or so members of Nacionalni Stroj that made it to the centre gathered in the garden of a beerhouse overlooking the Danube. It was here that the 'anti-fascist' march stopped, with only a fence seperating the two sides. On Sunday the entire media machine was saying that Nacionalni Stroj attacked the marcher's. Only now is it coming out that they were themselves attacked with bottles. This story in Politika confirm's this:

Сукоб је избио у тренутку кад је поворка, на чијем су челу били Ненад Чанак, Чедомир Јовановић, Жарко Кораћ и Бојан Костреш, пролазила поред „Пивнице”, у чијој башти је седело неколико десетина неонациста, који су подигнутом десном руком узвикивали „Војводина је Србија” и „Убиј педера”. Узвраћено им је повицима „Уа фашисти” и „Смрт фашизму”, после чега су чланови Националног строја пришли огради. Из колоне, која је кренула да ода пошту жртвама фашистичке рације на Дунавском кеју, преко кордона жандармерије која је стала између две стране, полетеле су пластичне флаше.

The Novi Sad Police Chief has also reacted to claim's that he should have arrested member's of Nacionalni Stroj sooner, saying that he had no legal basis for which to arrest them while they were sitting peacefully in the beerhouse.
Here I find he also said the following:

Krstić je rekao "da je policije bilo u dovoljnom broju i da je ona mogla da interveniše tek kada su se stekli zakonski uslovi za to", odnosno tek kada je počela obostrana provokacija i fizički obračun dve grupe kod ograde Doma vojske. Prema njegovim rečima, Davidović i ostali okupljeni u Domu vojske nisu pravili nered, a policija "ne može da postupa selektivno jer bi time prekršila njihova ljudska prava".

For those non-Serb's following these event's it basically say's: that the police were waiting to pounce, had no excuse, but that the moment 'provocation's and physical confrontation' between the 2 group's started they went in.....just on the fascist's. This passage avoid's saying explicitly who started the whole affair. It also hint's that 'provocation's' were enough of a reason for the police to go in. In other word's getting up out of your seat's, waving a Serbian flag, and shouting 'Serbia' is a provocation if you have thousand's of seperatist's on the other side of the fence. This video's not great, but give's an idea of the situation moment's before police went in. A few dozen people up against a fence, shouting 'Serbia', facing off with thousand's of 'anti-fascist's' on the other side.
As for Obraz, their member's gathered at the main church but were stopped by the police from linking up with Nacionalni Stroj, who were by that point being arrested.
We have NGO's, the gay right's movement, Cedomir Jovanovic of the Liberal Democratic Party, the Vojvodina seperatist's, supporter's of the EU, and masked 'anti-fascist' thug's parading the street's in number's. Look at the lobby group's that influenced our puppet government to ban the march. If the media is allowed to demonise the people that stand up to them, it present's Canak and his gang as normal, even heroic. People: the media is in enemy hands, do not accept what it say's at face value. Have a look at what we are being asked to believe. I don't have all the fact's but I do know that some of the main thrust's of the media story can be picked apart quite easily. People arrested on the Bulgarian, Croatian, and Hungarian border's with Nazi material, people arrested in Belgrade with such material. Yet noone at the actual march had any such material. It seem's to me that this is an attempt by the real extremist's to try and deflect attention from themselves onto someone else. ________________________________________________

Orthodoxy in Russia

Three interesting stories I came across regarding Russia:

Welcome or Not, Orthodoxy Is Back in Russia’s Public Schools

The article is written by a cynical American Jew, which explain's the title 'Welcome or not'. He quotes 'opponent's' of Orthodoxy who claim that Russia is a multiethnic, pluralistic nation. Of course the implication is that this is such a great thing and that anything that might threaten this glorious diversity is inherently bad. Never mind that he's equated 2 entirely different notions: the state and the nation. Which is where he get's his non-existant dilemma from: 'The new curriculum reflects the nation’s continuing struggle to define what it means to be Russian'.

"Orthodoxy or death" slogan a remedy for Russia

A small story, the most interesting part being the following:

"Orthodoxy or death is a mathematical formula for Russia today. There is no need to carry our mission among others; there is a need to convert at least our own people", Father Andrey said when reading a lecture in the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv. Otherwise, he believes, "Russia has only 50 years of historical existence left." "A country in which guys do not want to go to the army and girls to bear children is doomed", the prominent theologian believes.

Sex for the motherland: Russian youths encouraged to procreate at camp

This is a carefully crafted propaganda piece by a Russophobe whose open bias against all things Russian is evident from start to finish. It begins with some sensationalised youth rally where one's first impression is that orgies are held to reproduce for Russia. In fact when I read the piece a second time, I realised that it was only newly married couple's that had their own sleeping quarter's. No doubt he quotes out of context. Plus the fact that there is an upbeat tone, and tight control is apparently enough ammunition for him to liken the group to a phony religous cult.
Apparently this youth group reminds him of the Tsarist era slogan: "Autocracy, Orthodoxy and Nationality". Who cares. Just because he considers those 3 things to be negative doesn't mean everyone else does. And for a journalist who has been covering Eastern Europe since 1986 to refer to Russia's 'supposed unique political and spiritual culture' in such terms shows his open contempt and hostility.
His adulation of Boris Yeltsin clearly shows what type of a Russia he wants. The article finishes with the comparison of Russia to Nazi Germany. How predictable.

Serb government bans Novi Sad march after Jewish protests

Only just found out on Haaretz.com that the march has been banned. Interior minister, Dragan Jocic, has stated that 'extremist groups' are not a security threat, but that they are a problem for Serbia's 'image'! And in one fell swoop he chucked freedom of speech and human rights out of the window. Good to see that the organiser's have said that they will hold a demonstration anyway at the location where the march was due to start from. By the way the claim that this was a Neo-Nazi march is a lie. Just like the claim that this was a march commemorating Himmler's birthday! The organiser's specifically stated that this was a march against separatism in Kosovo and Vojvodina, and for Serbian unity. All Serb's were called to come together regardless of their political persuasion. I do believe they stated that only Serbian banners and flags would be acceptable. Look's like the truth went out the window along with the human rights and freedom of speech.

German Government Publication Promotes Incestuous Pedophilia

Shocking story, first found over at the Serb Hellenic forum. All emphasis is mine.

Booklets from a subsidiary of the German government's Ministry for Family Affairs encourage parents to sexually massage their children as young as 1 to 3 years of age. Two 40-page booklets entitled "Love, Body and Playing Doctor" by the German Federal Health Education Center (Bundeszentrale für gesundheitliche Aufklärung - BZgA) are aimed at parents - the first addressing children from 1-3 and the other children from 4-6 years of age.

"Fathers do not devote enough attention to the clitoris and vagina of their daughters. Their caresses too seldom pertain to these regions, while this is the only way the girls can develop a sense of pride in their sex," reads the booklet regarding 1-3 year olds. The authors rationalize, "The child touches all parts of their father's body, sometimes arousing him. The father should do the same."

Canadian author and public speaker Michael O'Brien who has written and spoken extensively about the crisis of culture in the West spoke to LifeSiteNews.com about the shocking and extremely disturbing phenomenon. It is, he said, "State-encouraged incest, which in most civilized societies is a crime." The development is, he suggests, a natural outcome of the rejection of the Judeo-Christian moral order.

"The imposed social revolution that has swept the western world is moving to a new stage as it works out the logical consequences of its view of man's value," said O'Brien. "It is merely obeying its strictly materialist philosophy of man. If man is no more than a creature created for pleasure or power. If he is no more than a cell in the social organism, then no moral standards, no psychological truths, no spiritual truths can refute the 'will to power' and the 'will to pleasure'."

The pamphlet advises parents to permit young children "unlimited masturbation" except where physical injury becomes apparent. It advises: "Children should learn that there is no such thing as shameful parts of the body. The body is a home, which you should be proud of." For ages 4-6, the booklet recommends teaching children the movements of copulation.

Another product of the BZgA is a song book aimed at children of four and slightly older which includes several songs espousing masturbation. The song-book entitled "Nose, belly and bum" includes one song with the following lyrics: "When I touch my body, I discover what I have. I have a vagina, because I am a girl. Vagina is not only for peeing. When I touch it, I feel a pleasant tingle."

"The wiser and deeper position of most civilizations recognized that children need a period of innocence," commented O'Brien. "Now the state, the German state, is encouraging destruction of this state of innocence," he added. "This is consistent with the materialist philosophy that sees all moral norms and all truths about human nature as repressive. Pleasure and their distorted concept of freedom are their only guiding principles."

According to the Polish daily newspaper Rzeczpospolita, the BZgA booklet is an obligatory read in nine German regions. It is used for training nursery, kindergarten and elementary school teachers. Ironically it is recommended by many organizations officially fighting pedophilia, such as the German Kunderschutzbund. BZgA sends out millions of copies of the booklet every year.
